Cocka-Doodle Morning to You!

Lovin' Karrie's Rooster
on top of her refrigerator....

We looked for some
Rooster words of wisdom
and found this...

"The rooster may rule the roost
but the hen rules the rooster."

Shhhh......keep the giggling down!
We don't need the hubbies to hear that one ~ lol!!

Inspiration

Sometimes
inspiration
comes from the strangest places.

One minute
you are unsure of what to do
with a newly created hallway...
the next you are inspired
to put a sconce on the wall.

Then you think,
"How cool would it look
to have that sconce look like a lantern?"

Then you think
about how much you love the look of
Williamsburg...
and you think of
brick walls.
So you call upon the amazing
faux finisher Jill
to come work her magic
(yes....it's paint!)

Then you carry out this
"allyway"
by using an outdoor light
for your ceiling

Next thing you know,
you have delightful entry
into your bathroom
Don't you just love it?

Feeling Blue....

It's a great day for feeling blue....
don't you think?

Why don't you join us....

How about a blue watering can to sprinkle happiness onto your porch?

A blue bench to sit and visit on....

oh... we see there are quite a few of you, so the bench won't do all alone... how about an old wicker friend?

Go ahead and set your tea on the table...

How about a seat over here... that's right, a pretty blue quilt will keep you company!

ahhhhh....that's better - there's nothing like having friends sharing our blues with us today!

It's Friday....and We're In Love!

It's Friday, and we're in love with
A Wintry-night

Luminaries lighting the way

Guest's walking up to the house, anticipating the Christmas Tea for the Alzheimer unit at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont.
Welcome!

This is the third year that we have hosted the Christmas Tea

It is held inside of the Victorian Home in front of our shop.
{of course, we call it Home...for we grew up here!}

The reason for a benefit for the Bethesda Alzheimer Unit?
Both of our grandmothers were diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

So...in remembrance of Grandma Norma
and in honor of Grandma Betty
we decided to host this tea.

Our guests meet in the store for a Party Cheesball and Spiced Christmas Tea

Then we escort them into the house

This year we started out with Creamed Sweet Potato Soup and and Pesto-Cheese Pastries

Smoked Salmon Cheese Cups
Mini Beef Wellingtons
Bacon-Wrapped Figs
Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms
Were all served next

After the Buttermilk Scones we had a lovely piece of Aunt Millie's Cheesecake with Lemon Caramel Sauce.
mmmmmm....can you blame us for being in Love?
It's Friday....what are you in love with today?
