Eggs-traordinaire Eggs

It's crunch time...time to get those Easter Eggs decorated!
Last year we made these eggs right before Easter, and never had a chance to post...so enjoy!

We used Duck eggs, because we read that the shell was harder and would stand up to the pressure of polking a hole in them, and getting the yolk out....some eggs didn't fare so well!

We photo copied some images that we had around the house and cut them into ovals to mod podge onto the eggs.

Ribbons
and Markers
to decorate the eggs with

We liked
how they turned out...in fact we had every intention in getting more done this year....maybe next!!

These are just beautiful! I am sure it is very delicate work. Where on earth did you get duck eggs...or maybe I should be afraid to ask!

Wishing you both and your families a happy and blessed Easter!

Where do you buy duck eggs??? I've never seem them...or maybe I did and didn't know they were duck's because they look the same! Your decorations turned out very cute! Are you recycling them these year or are you making new ones?

You get Duck eggs from a Duck girls :)
(That is what my father-in-law said to me when he brought them over!)
Anyway, there are people who have ducks and sell duck eggs - ask a farmer (I did!!)

Hi Karla & Karrie,
I just found out about your website.
I think it is really neat. Especially love the picture of my mom with Denny. If I'm not mistaken, I think she did take a ride with him on the motor cycle. She had more nerve than me.
Love & Peace to you both.
Cousin, Rita Cook Shaver Newlin.
