I'd like to talk about some of our things in the store. The clocks we chose for you this year are out of this world! I love them because they are so different than ones you see around this area. They all have something special about them. I really like the colors of this one in the picture. Be sure to check them out and let someone know about them - or surprise someone with an unusual gift!

Our pottery is pretty neat this year. New is the Christmas carol pottery. I think this is such a clever idea.
They made pottery specifically for Christmas carols. Of course, there is Hark The Harold Angel's Sing, but they have Jingle Bells, We Three Kings, and much more! I think that is such a fun conversation piece, but also a really unique gift - especially if you know that a person loves that song!

Karrie and I are really excited about our CD collection that we have acquired. The Summer Kitchen is known for the music we hand pick for the store, so we thought we'd bring it into the store so you could purchase it and take that wonderful sound with you! We love the everyday music: Happy Hour With the Rat Pack, The Diva's of Jazz, and The Men of Jazz. We then have three Christmas CD's to put you in the mood. These are so neat and we love the tins that they come in. If not for you, they would make a great stocking stuffer! Who wouldn't want to entertain and have this music on - decorate the tree singing to Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Rosemary Clooney, and Ella Fitzgerald? That was the day! Bring some nostalgia into your, or someone else's Christmas this year!

Last of all, I want to take a little time to talk about our Christmas Tea. The Christmas Tea will be Sunday, December 10th, from 2pm-4pm. There is a $15 donation for the ticket for the Tea. This donation will go to the Liberty Center in Fremont, Ohio. For those of our out-of-town guests, the Liberty Center is Sandusky County's area for the homeless. We'd sure like to help all of those folks out at this time of the year! The Christmas Tea will be held in the store, and we will have plenty of food - so save your appetite. You will be able to taste 5 teas, if you'd like. A reminder, that the store will not be open to the public, so this will be your own private tea party, and shopping time. If you do purchase something during the Christmas Tea, we will be donating 15% of your purchase to The Liberty Center as well. This Tea is a nice time to share with your Mother, Sister and Friends. Karrie and I would love to serve you. If this is something that you would like to do, please give us a call at 419-638-4205, or email us at summerkitcheninteriors@sbcglobal.net, and we will reserve your spot!

Hope decorations are going up smoothly for you all at home! I've got a good start - we did get two trees this year instead of one- but, we'll fill them both up, I'm sure! The kids named them "Bob" and "George". The girl that was helping us out told us that this was the first time she saw a family name their tree.....obviously she hadn't met our family before! We almost had to get "James", my youngest insisted. So, when we left James there, I told the other two kids, that "Bob" must be called "James" in front of their little brother. Terrible Mother? Maybe, but it worked, and we didn't have a scene because we left "James". I will get some pictures to you of all of our trees, maybe we'll have a contest- which tree is Mom's, Karrie's and Karla's? (Let's plan on that!)

Oh - and by the way, everyone has been telling us how they love this blog, and how they love to read it, and I tell them, blog us back.....many of you guys don't know how. See the little "comment" button below here - click on that and you can respond that way. You don't need a blog to do it - go ahead and try it sometime!

Hey guys, looking forward to seeing you all soon!
