Clever Little Pumpkins

An adorable idea we had to share...

We took some mini pumkins (the real thing!)
& took a nail and made a little hole through the top

Pushed a bamboo skewer into the hole
Made a cute sign and made punch holes at the top & bottom, then put the sign on the skewer

Then we attached a glittered crow ornament at the bottom of the sign.

These work great in the store as signage...
but think how fabulous for:
A fall or Halloween buffet
Put these pumpkin signs beside the food to let your guests know what everything is!
Picture holders
Instead of signs, put pictures on the skewer
Decorations....
forget the sign & add an ornament of your choice.

Clever pumpkins indeed!

Killer Cobbler

Are you scared???
You should be...this crock pot recipe is something that people who came to our Open House are dying for...
and you lucky ducks will have it:

KILLER COBBLER
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 stick of butter
2 cans fruit pie filling
(apple is yummy, can use sugar free, it really doesn't matter...we also did one with cherry and blueberry - shown here.  This mixture seemed to cut the sweetness down a bit..kind of!)
1 yellow cake mix
1 can of cream soda
1 14oz bag of caramels, opened up

Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Melt butter.  Put 1/3 of the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture on the bottom of your crock pot.  drizzle 1/3 of the butter over this.
Open up the pie filling and dump the two cans on top of the sugar mixture & butter.
Put another 1/3 of the sugar mixture and the butter over this.
Add 1/2 of the caramels.
Mix the cake mix with the can of cream soda, then put it over top of the caramels in the crock pot.
Put the last of the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture and butter over top of the cake mix.
Put lid on the crock pot at cook.
4 hours on low, 3 hours on high.
Add remaining caramels on top of cobbler when done.

Enjoy with some ice cream or milk (helps cut the sweetness)
mmmmmm....you'll be in Heaven....it is that good!
Enjoy!
