Treasure Box

Treasures!
We all have them...but they are usually
tucked away in a box in the attic!

Have you ever thought of displaying them?

Yesterday we were up in mom's sewing room
and saw this shadow box that our cousin made several years ago
with all sorts of vintage sewing treasures!

We had completely forgot about this box...
and that it inspired us to do
a Shadow Box Class at the store

Sweet treasures lovingly tucked inside a
Shadow Box
so that they can be seen by not only you...
but by whoever walks into the room

We bet right now your mind is swimming with ideas....isn't it?

First put fabric or paper on the front of the board of the shadow box...
then lay out your treasures
to see how you would like them to look in your box

We used a combination of glue, glue dots and pins
to get everything to stay in place.

Then you can hang up your creation
 for everyone to see!

If you'd like to see some of the other ideas
from of our class attendees ~ visit the post here.

Thanks for stopping by today...hope you were inspired!
Join us as we party with Patti and Paula
@ Ivy & Elephants for What's it Wednesday!

Love this box of treasures. I made a small one for my hubby's office. It has memorabilia from dad in the war.

Love your box of treasures. You are so right -- you should enjoy everything that is special to you rather than having things tucked away in a drawer.

Cute idea.

Clever, clever! Just wish I had an ounce of your "know how" to mix things up and come up with a winner all the time. You are 2 creative girls, that I envy! Beautiful!
