We're in love with glass cylinders and rubber bands!
What??!!
Let us explain, before you think we are completely nuts!
Last night we held a Holiday Table Decorating Class. We talked about all sorts of easy things you could do to "wow" your guests with.
Everyone agreed this votive idea really packed a big punch of fall color and style for your table.
1. get a glass....any glass - water glass, cylinder glass, heck, we decided that a mason jar would work great too!
2. put a rubber band around your glass then tuck fresh (or fake) leaves in the rubber band, going all around the glass.
Use leaves that are still on the tree - or that have just fallen (crispy ones are a bit hard to work with!)
Don't want to use leaves?
Use artichoke leaves, asparagus, dried fruit - the sky is the limit!
Once you are done putting your leaves around - get a ribbon and cut to size and put it around the rubber band to cover. Tie in a knot - and Voila! A pretty votive for your table!
It's Friday...and we're in love.... with the unlikely combination of rubber bands and glass......
What are you in love with today?

Hi Girls!
Love love love the glass idea! I'm gonna try it! Mason jars would be cute wouldn't they? Thanks for such a great inexpensive decoration. Sometimes you see stuff like this and say to yourself "DUH why didn't I think of this?" So here I am to say DUH!
Big hugs, Sherry

Thanks for the beautiful fall decor idea...I'm going to use my Mason jars and line them up in my kitchen window.
