"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night
stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds"
The Summer Market
in Avon Lake, OH this weekend....
We decided that we should adopt
the United States Postal Service creed
for ourselves :)
Rain, Rain
Go
Away
The Summer Kitchen Girls
want to play today!
As we pulled into the parking lot
the rain started to let up....
and then the heavens opened up
and we saw the most beautiful
rainbow!
Then we started to SHOP....
This adorable window
walked out of the show ahead of us
by a lovely gentleman
carrying it for his wife :)
Gorgeous displays...
Even though they were a bit soggy
It didn't stop us from shopping!
No one minded too much
we all just shopped fast
before the next storm came!
There was a great mix of vintage and reproduction pieces
and we both decided that this show was a
MUST
to visit every year!
Lots of fun jewelry mixed into the vintage....
oh so fun!
Lots of vintage planters in
great colors!
Super fun
vintage letters
vintage letters
to decorate with!
Of course there was lots of creative people
selling fun things for your home & garden!
selling fun things for your home & garden!
We ended our shopping trip here!
We got some delicious cupcakes....
Orange Creamsicle
French Toast
The Billy Idol
Bet you're wondering
what this is....
The Billy Idol's top.
Karla went to put her wallet in her purse with full hands,
her cupcake flipped off her paper ~ frosting on her hand
Her daughter went to help and her frosting flew off her cupcake
and onto the ground.
It was pretty darn funny to watch....
and yes, we bought another cupcake for her daughter
{she did, after all, try to save the cupcake!}
Point of the story...
Visit
next year....even if it rains....
but hold onto your cupcake!
