Just found these pictures I took last year
of my daughter's Halloween Costume........
She decided that she wanted to be
an owl....
so....
and owl, eh??
Well, we went into her closet
and found a dress from the summer,
that happened to be white
and stained....
PERFECT
to create a costume out of!
Then we took some fabric that we had and found on our sewing project shelves,
and bought a 1/4 of a yard of two other fabrics we found at the store.
We then cut out some half-circles out of all of the fabrics together.....
We started at the bottom of the dress
and pinned those semi-circles (really semi-ovals)
onto the front of the dress and then stitched them on...
We continued all the way up to the top of the dress...
It was a bit cold for an owl without sleeves....
PLUS
we wanted some
"wings"
so we went up in the attic and got the cape that I had for my wedding
(it's all furry and cozy)
and added it to the costume!
Voila!
We added white sweatpants
and some wise-old owl glasses
and we had a great
Halloween Costume :)
What are some of your favorite Halloween Costumes
that kiddo's have "'treated" in at your house?

That is darling! We do a big party every year and every year the latest costumes are my fav. Ah the blessings of a short memory.
I loved that outfit! Very, very creative. My wife's family will be coming to us for a scary story-telling session on Halloween night. We've done it for four or five years in a row now and it's always a winner. Who knows, I might even be talked into dressing as an owl! :-)
Greetings from London.
How adorable and creative. Thanks for sharing!
