The Pane of Shadows

We found such a fun shadow for you all this week
in back of our store...

Shadows are not a Pain at all....
But they do show up on Panes
occasionally!

The only Pain about shadows...is sometimes finding one,
but with a little patience they appear!

Join us for
this weekend....
Where no patience is required to see shadows
that are perfectly framed!

Oh, how I have missed you girls! And this post, as all of yours do, made me smile. Loved your butterfly.

There's an interesting legend in the orient about butterfly shadows on curtains at night. They actually had candles with cut out shaped like butterflies, and when they danced on the window shades, either the person inside was "entertaining" or not. Now, I leave it up to you to guess the occupation of the person. ;-)

I'm racing around on Mr. Magpie's computer before he comes back and needs it. Loved hearing from you and miss you mightily!

XO,

Sheila

Your store has a treasure trove of shadows. I really love the name of your blog. My mom has a summer kitchen at her place and I've always gotten a kick out of the idea of it. Phoenix really should have such things. I think they were much smarter in the olden days about such things! Happy SSS2 to you.

The average viewer might see the peeled paint alone. A pity, as the textures of rust, butterfly and shadow are beautiful additions. Never jung, but artistry in another format - and very cool!

This is a great contribution, ladies? You are right. You have to be patience. Shadows are hard to find if you are in a wrong place and wrong time §;-)
