Daffy Shadows

Daffy-down-dilly came up in the cold,
Through the brown mould
Although the March breeze blew keen on her face,
Although the white snow lay in many a place.
~ Anna B. Warner

No...we have no daffodil's outside yet...but we are seeing our potted silk ones fly out of the door this week. Sunshine, robins & melting snow are here - so we should be getting some sign of the real thing some time soon!
It's that time of the week again - time to view some shadows from all around the world at Shadow Shot Sunday. Visit Hey Harriet and get in on all of the fun - for shadows know no season!

Lovely photo - maybe I should get some silk daffodils, as ours are way behind because of the weather (the worst winter in Scotland since 1962!!)

This daffy flower is wonderful, the shadows adding a depth to its style. A nice yellow hue, we do not care if real or silk - beautiful it remains!

What would the world be
without Daffy-down-dilly?
Dark, mean and chilly.

All that's brave enough to poke their nose up are a few lil' green iris tips..but they're crazy...it's cold out there even at 47 degrees!!!

I love how the shadow still has lots of colour. I hope you spy some real daffodils soon.

Sweet daffy photo and poem! That daffodil looks real to me and I wouldn't have known otherwise if you didn't say. Oh you must be so pleased about spring. It's my fave season! Enjoy all those warm days coming your way :)
