We opened our email this morning to this picture from Terrain.
Isn't it the most gorgeous Easter Basket?!!
*sigh*
It reminded us that we needed to plant the grass
in the kiddo's Easter baskets....
Basket
check!
Soil
check!
Wheatgrass....
Wheatgrass all over the floor
check!
{I might add that kids are not helping with this project at the moment!!}
Into the baskets
check!
We added a bow on this basket.....
but you can do what you like!
Just water & watch your Easter grass
grow!
oh.....and back to this....
Now that we're done with the kiddo's baskets ~ we're so going to make this!
We're going to plant the grass
then add some spring bulbs that haven't bloomed yet....
{digging them up from outside!}
then....in two weeks,
when the grass has grown,
we'll add the nest, eggs & birds
You've got to love Spring!

Well I have learned a lot...didn't know about Terrain...and have never seen anyone plant grass in the kids' baskets!
My husband is a grass seed dealer LOL...I'll plant some in something...or wheat or barley...
Oh my, what lovely baskets. I would have loved this, and so would have my daughter. I was not very creative. She got the fake grass. :)
Love it! Love it! Love it! I've gotta do this. My friend Cindy from Tol usually plants grass seed in a cool container for her Easter Table centerpiece and it's such a neat thing. Thanks for posting this so I can get my game on!
Big hugs, sherry
PS Just gotta say I played the Put The Lime In the Coconut song several times! Great fun song!
Every year I think, oh this year I am going to do a natural Easter basket with the girls and sigh Easter comes and goes. I feel too tired to even think about it this year. But enjoyed the pictures and beauty all the same. Thanks for sharing Kitchen Girls.
Cheers,
Leah
