The old line shutters seem better constructed than the plastic of today - and can be restored as well - wood has that advantage! And back then, they actually shuttered windows. A wonderful find!
Find a cool spot indeed...don't seem to be many around these here parts lately, we may have one today in the mid to high 80's, as another thunderstorm is barreling in on us, feast or famine with these crazy weather patterns of late, wonder if I'll get the grass mowed today...ha!
I came thisssss close to buying 2 shutters at Under The Sun on Saturday! Couldn't think of a use for them though, so they stayed there for some other to buy. Nice ShadowShot. Have a good weekend.
hi there! sorry I'm a bit behind in getting round to blogs this week. I'm happy I made it here though, because I LOVE shutters like this. I once lived in a huge old mansion that had been partitioned off into apartments and all of the windows had wooden shutters on them. it was spooky and charming at the same time. I learned it had been torn down several years after I moved away from there, and that saddened me. but your photo brings back fond memories! I hope you have a wonderful week. take lots of photos!
Great post and shot for the day! Love the shutters! Good to see you back! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!
