After having to look at myself when I got up this morning -- this was/is a real treat! I'm not the only scary one!!! You've surely made my day! Love your capture and how fun! Enjoy your weekend!!
this is very cool, I've never seen a walking fish before. and look at those eyes - buggers. and I like the idea of that movable spine as a lure. he's adaptable. fun shadow shot! have a beautiful weekend!
Haha! Oh he's funny looking! That mouth is cracking me up! He doesn't appear to be very happy. That's how I look first thing in the morning pre-coffee! I've never heard of batfish before, and between you and Lisa's rotospheres I'm beginning to think I live a very sheltered life! Thanks for the giggles! Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
Too funny...thunderstorms this morning and oodles of rain, almost like springtime. Me n SCratch even got out and played a few rounds of chase the stick, we both need the exercise, too many lost days indoors...COME ON SPRING!!!
how cool is this! i didn't know such a thing exhisted! i'm going to look this up with my kids later today.
ReplyDeleteHoly ugly fish Batman!!
ReplyDeleteI agree, this is quite a find, unattractive yet sort of compelling in a way we can't turn away. Odd, with a great waterborne shadow.
The odd species reminds me of an old Motown song by the Marvelettes 'Too Many Fish in the Sea'...
What we don't know we don't miss, but what we learn is really fun!
Hmmm, kinda an ugly little fella!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend, girls!
Hugs,
Donna
Goodness! Yuk! But I do like learning experiences. Very unique Post. Good job!

Poor thing - he lost out when the good looks were handed out!! Fun post!
ReplyDeleteI do believe I would have nightmares if I came face to face with one of these critters!
ReplyDeleteA PARFAIT DAY
A seeker of shadows one day
Did trip as she went on her way;
She picked herself up
And dipped from a cup
Of shadowy lemon parfait!
