Today we had a huge order of flowers for a wedding this Friday....

and we had to have a little fun :)

When Life Gives You China....

We acquired this interesting piece last week

On the outside it looks to be a lovely
Rose printed porcelain pot of some sort....

Well, upon lifting the lid we had a surprise!

What has us puzzled is...

exactly what is it?

There's hole in the bottom.....(dear Liza, dear Liza!)

Now - what to do with it?

Plant it...

of course!

There you have it...

When life gives you china

that you can't use in your home you

Plant It!

Right in front of the roses no less

(a rose for a rose!)

We found this picture of these little girls in a dandelion field 

at an estate sale and fell in love with them!

Junk Jive & Wail

Yesterday we took off early...

ok...sort of early!

We had a very LOW

inventory of Junk....

so we needed to refill!

Even though a rain cloud followed us

the entire time....

 

Refill...we did!

Just like the post office....

come rain, sleet, snow, ice

we

JUNK

then we

Jived & Wailed!

Jadeite Love

I heart Jadeite

It's my favorite color of plates and pottery.

It reminds me of the vintage glass tile that I had

on my kitchen walls at my old house.

 I think that is why I am pretty obsessed with

the color!

I was so excited last Sunday when we went to the flea

and I was not really finding anything that I wanted

WHEN

you know what happened...I spotted

this cake plate and pitcher

and because

I helped the gentleman

get a picture up on his telephone

 that his daughter just sent him of his new grand baby...

He gave me a good deal!

I also heart cake plates

I use them...maybe once or twice a year for cake...

Most of the time they hold things.

Things like

dogs

plants

(that need to be planted once it has stopped raining)

silver

arrangements

  and little vignettes that need a fancy place to sit

I thought I'd introduce the jadeite cake plate

 to some of the other fellas...

They all look pretty good together I think :)

I'm not sure where he'll end up,

 but right now he's setting like he is in the first picture...

right below the fruit cake plate

where I can see it every day...

selfish of me, I know!

Now that I think about it,

this is my first pitcher that I have bought

I have two....but they were given to me...hmmmmmmm

I think we'll have to step it up a bit here!

Soooo... anyway, I ask my kids

if they want to use this awesome jadeite pitcher

 to put milk in their cereal in the mornings

 and they think I'm crazy....

isn't that what milk containers are for??

Well, maybe!

How about orange juice then?

Mom....we'd just be dirtying more dishes...

oh yea

Wonder where they've heard that before?!!

Maybe I'll use it for my cereal in the morning....

or maybe I'll just stick some lilacs in it!

Who Let the Pigs Out?

Three Little Piggys

escaped from the store

They traveled for miles

Climbed mountainous

terrain

Looked High

Looked Low

Traveled until their little pig feet

could go no more

OK...so really they were really

being carried around

and pampered

for a photo shoot

for our next blurb in The Buzz Book

These Piggy Banks are sooo cute - and we love how on their box it says:

"Get some green growing! 

This Floral Piggy Bank makes saving fun! 

 Just a penny here, a color there, and your green will bloom!"

I just put one in my kitchen to collect all of that spare change

that I find in the laundry, on the floor, on the counter - change that doesn't seem

 that big to keep track of...but add it up

and let's see how many kids will want it then - lol!!
