EEK!
While getting ready for our
Spooktacular Fall Open House
We found all sorts of
BATTY
shadows!
We had all of our batty bats flying from our spider infested tree
over to the display on the other side of the store
so they could perch for the night!

In case you'd like to make your own bats
visit Martha Stewart

for the templates!
for the templates!
Print out & cut your pattern
& trace onto construction papaer
Then start cutting...
We used glue dots to attatch the bats to our ceiling.
You'll make so many you might get carried away!
and if you're getting carried away...
you might as well head over to
where Everyone is BATTY for Shadows!

they are wonderful bats - what is the collective noun for a group of bats - a scatter of bats??
These flying mammals are beautiful! Knowing that one (actual) bat can eat up to 1000 mosquitoes a night, they have received a bad rap by society - so you are honoring them which is cool indeed!
We'd love to shop your place this season - the detailing is superb, the look of autumn and Halloween more specifically is great - hopefully the shoppers take a look at the wares for sale instead of the ceiling...
So, you ladies do have bats in your belfry!
Just kidding.
I wish we could attend your spooktacular open house. Sounds like fun.
That is indeed a "batty" group! How fun! And what a great post for the day! I'd love to attend your spooktacular open house, too! Comforting to know someone else has bats in their belfry, too!! Thanks for the smiles on a gray day!! Enjoy your weekend!

Ok bats are not my thing...but these do hold some charm. I can see my girls going nuts and making about two dozen of these.
Cheers,

Very creative!
My Shadow, have a wonderful weekend!
These are wonderful but I`m more than relieved that they are not real!
I'm feeling a bit batty all of a sudden! Thanks for the link! Those are pretty darned cool looking bats.
What great decorations! and they sure make batty shadows!
Hard to believe fall is just around the corner!
Very nice post.
Regards and best wishes
Love these bats, I'll make some for the cosy, dark autumn nights;)
How fun! I am sure all your guests will be delighted.
Super Cool...the bats and their shadows look fab!! I bet the whole shop looks amazing :)
Love the bats, but I don't think I want any on my ceilings! We sometimes see the real thing in the front garden ....
