Shadow Vines

Welcome to Shadow Shot Sunday!

Today we found a soft shadow
on one of our Vintage Plates.
We love how the vine, in front of the plate,
leaves vining shadows that
fall right in step with the vines painted on the plate!

For more shadows...
follow along as we visit
for our shadow fix!

    FRUITY FATE

    Shadow vines are twining
    Round the gilded plate,
    Ripening in sunshine—
    Such a fruity fate!

  5. The plate has a soft air on its own, the colors faint and perfectly painted prior to its firing. The shadows are equally soft and never overpowering. No meal should ever grace this work of art...I can find a wall in our home where this plate would be an admired piece of art. Your travels bring up the nicest artistic artifacts!

  7. Clever! The shadow vines do blend in nicely with the patterns on the plate. And a very sweet plate by the way! Even sweeter loaded up with cookies! Have a great week girls!
