Evening Shadows

“Each morning sees some task begin,
Each evening sees it close;
Something attempted, something done,
Has earned a night's repose”
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Evening Shadows are so lovely...
peace & quiet "ring" throughout the house,
and we sigh..
Another day with a busy list of things "to do"
ends with a checked off list...and another list begun!

It's that time of the week...
Shadow Catchin'
Whether it is morning or night,
there are shadows everywhere across the ocean and back on
for Shadow Shot Sunday....come on and join us!

  2. The last grasp of the day's light leaves elegant if mysterious shadows. The wall holds a valentine's red plate - except the bit of light, shadow and subject that are not whole. This, we get to guess, and therein lies the fun of your shop. Should we get to NW Ohio, a visit will be in order!

  4. I do agree about evening shadows and these are lovely! It always amazes and delights me how frequently shadows create a sense, a feeling of mystery and intrigue. Think that's one of the reasons I've become so addicted to hunting for shadow shots and Lately it's had to be serious hunting!! Enjoy your weekend!

    A SEEKER OF SHADOWS

A seeker of shadows one day
Asked shadows to come out and play:
    “O shadows, my dears,
    Despite all my fears,
I hope you will not run away.”

  11. I love the burst of subtle colour coming through from a sea of black! Oh lists! They're never ending things. Finish one, write another and on and on it goes... May you at least find some time for some much deserved relaxation over the weekend. A list-free weekend I say!

  15. ooooo! Lovely!
One of my walls in my kitchen is that color of green. Sherman Williams. Luau green.
Makes for a great backdrop for dramatic shadows!
