Don't Play With Your Food

True simplicity - and no dying required! Line a bowl with lettuce leaves & add white & brown boiled eggs - we love this idea!

We know the kids would go for this...a Brussels sprout topiary is better than Brussels sprouts on the plate....it does look striking this way - don't you think?!

What's On Your Drawers?
Since we don't have anything to wallpaper on the walls in our homes at the moment, we're looking for some furniture, because we love this!

This decoupaged dresser from Martha Stewart
How about vintage botanical, floral or bird prints? Look on eBay or estate, or garage sales for wall paper remnants, pages out of books, blueprints, anything to put on the drawers - you just need some wallpaper paste - and voila!

Fast and fabulous decorating projects article from Better Homes & Garden
Pick your paper out first, then pick out a fabulous paint color that compliments the paper.

How about a cabinet or shelf?

Oh, Where Do You Gather Your Eggs?
Where do you put your eggs for Easter decorating?
The next question would be...
Do you have enough eggs to go around in those clever places?

A Package of Shadows
(I think the customer thought I lost it for sure!)
Whether we've lost our minds or not - we love shooting our shadows & joining Tracy in Australia for Shadow Shot Sunday, where the best gift of the weekend is visiting your friends from all around the world and admiring their shadows!

Lasagna Gardening
Last Thursday night, we had our Salsa Gardening Class with Catherine
We picked out different ingredients to create our own salsa garden
tomatoes
onions
cilantro
peppers
We were all captivated by a new-to-us way of gardening that Catherine shared with us
It's called Lasagna Gardening
Have you heard about it?
According to ask.com Lasagna Gardening is "a no-dig, no-till organic gardening method that results in rich fluffy soil with very little work from the gardener."
This really caught our attention!
Boy, did it feel good getting our hands in the dirt!
Isn't playing in the dirt the best?
Now we just water & wait!
Planting time will be here before we know it!
Check out Lasagna Gardening by Patricia Lanza
and give it a try this year!

Decorating with Silver
Many customers love it, but just don't know how to decorate with it,
We love grouping little vignettes together on silver trays....no matter what the size!
We also love putting things into our silver pieces - like this darling little chick in a nest - it fits perfectly inside this old silver gravy boat!

Top-O-The Mornin'
'Tis a fine dayThis first of March!
We thought we'd show you some cute little gnome men vases we found at an estate sale a couple of weeks ago...they are just too cute...
and remind us of leprechauns...
which remind us of March
And, since it is March we thought we should share them with you!
So.....
Here they are.....
And here's a funny riddle to get you in the mood for St. Patrick's Day ~
What is out on the lawn all summer and is Irish?
