it was a quiet day

when we took pictures of these shadows

at the stadium....

Today is the day....

all Ohio State

and University of  Michigan fans

will watch football

and cheer for their team.

Why don't we give a big

"Rah, rah, zip, boom bah!"

for the best place on earth to catch a shadow,

on none other than Hey Harriet!

We helped our friend Allison in October create a lovely table scape.  Using pumpkins, gourds, kale and bittersweet....could anything be so easy?  We think not!!

in the shadows....we will say that he looks a bit menacing...

A Monumental Task...

It may look a bit intimidating....

but this tree stands tall

in the front of the store

Karrie has been busy decorating all of the trees

and has all but one done.

Unfortunately...

it also stands tall.

Why unfortunate, you ask?

Friday, Karrie broke her toe...

and is wearing a big boot...

now, how do you suppose

she's going to decorate that

big ol' tree?

It will be a monumental task indeed!

wish us luck....

Our good friend Kathy sent us some pictures of her mom and dad.

We use a lot of vintage pictures in the store and she gave us permission to use these.  Her daughter Donna came into the store a month later, and thought she had lost it, when she saw these pictures :)  What fun we had with that!

 Ho Ho Holy Cow...what is going on?!!

I can not believe we are showing you this...but you must see THIS before we post any pictures of the store all gorgeous & all....

The back....behind the desk is piled full of Christmas things needing to go out

Some things need pricing, some fluffed....

Out on the floor....not much better

We are re-arranging and putting Christmas out at the same time.

This means there are piles of things....we grab something from one area and put it in places we think they should be based on color, style, etc....whatever the case it is not very cool to look at, at the moment....

It looks pitiful, but we know that it HAS to look worse before it gets better....

Thankfully we have wonderful customers that giggle with delight when they see our mess, for it means knock out displays will be coming their way

very soon.....
