Gerbera
This week we had a lot of Gerber Daisies in the store. Karrie was working on bouquets for a wedding, while I was snapping some shadows of these happy flowers.
So, when we were getting this post ready, I thought I'd put the Latin name of the Gerber under the picture. Usually it's some long, fanciful name...nope! Gerbera - I think you all can figure that flower name out! So...while checking out the latin name, we saw that the Gerber daisy represents happiness and friendship....perfect for our Shadow Shot Sunday friends!

Girls..I have use as many as 400 of the little Gerber's in my one daughters outside wedding. I love working with them!!
Shadows..huh...does this count for the ones under my eyes..packing to leave..and kiddos coming home for the weekend..and of course the never ending garden..yeah ..shadows..under my eyes..lol

This seems like an artistic rendering of the sun, with its rays emanating from the cornea shaped center. Lovely take, beautiful artistry!
Over here we call them gerberas! I love the colour - I'm thinking applique .....
A fine Shadow Shot...though my allergies are now starting to act up!! Just love the color.

Cool shot! Don't you love gerbers? I sure do! I have a similar shot of a pink one Mr. Magpie gave me in a bouquet of mixed flowers.

Can you say ORANGE...what a wonderful splash of color, you can always count on the Gerbera for that...we sure got summer on our minds don't we!!!
