Sea Shell Shadows

She may sell sea shells by the sea shore.....
but we sell them in the store!

Customers can come in and buy shells by the cup - they have so much fun finding all of the ones they want - reminds me of the "buy a bag of rocks" at some stores - you know - fill a little bag up with as many stones as you can (always love seeing people stuff them as full as they can!)

Our favorite thing is to let our little visitors pick one shell out while they are waiting for their moms to finish shopping - that keeps them busy!

Go on over to Hey Harriet's this weekend to SEA what kind of Shadows everyone else is showing!

  1. We also sell shells at the store and amazes us how people can spend sometimes close to an hour picking the right one! One time we had a lady that sent the whole family to lunch while she stayed and picked her shells...by the way...we don't sell any "special" ones, just simple, ordinary shells!!! We are all moved by something different, aren't we?? Great shadows today, girls! Enjoy the weekend!

  6. I wish I would've had some seashells today for the lil' heathen that was terrorizing the shop today...Granny had no control. I think every bar of soap has his nose print on it...a day in the life!!!

Have a great Sunday Dad's Day!!!

  7. Sweet shell shadows! I love the idea of you letting the kiddies picking one out while their parents finish shopping. Very clever! I bet both kids and parents appreciate it :)

  9. Those shells make great shadows. The store looks like a fun place to roam about and little ones must love it to be able to choose a shell. Very nice idea.

    their shadows dancing like fish
    through ocean currents.

  12. Shells are God's way of reminding us that His designs are infinitely more graceful than anything we can imagine...kind of like the way He has shown us the heavens via Hubble. You just have to say, whoa...very cool. Nice photo

  14. Here in Virginia Beach, at least at the ocean front where all the activity is, there are not a lot of shells that wash up. So all the little whatnot stores sell them and I know they didn't get them around the area....;-)
